Sport With Mark

Every Wednesday the whole school has sport with Mark. This week we had a game of tag and Soccer. Sometimes we play other games as well like toilet tag and other fun games. I look foward to every Wednesday! Next week is our last week. Cant wait for next term and the holidays!!

Camp

Camp                                                                                                                                                   On wendsday yr 5 and 6s in 2016 went to camp. We went to Wanui. In this photo this is Chloe, Taylah, Mollie-Kate, Holly and I. We won the camp concert. I loved camp it was so much fun.

It was so much fun we roasted marshmallows and Shared cool stories. We aslo played spotlight in the dark. I cant wait to go to camp this year! 

Cross Country

On Wednesday Rakaia School, Dorie School and Ashburton School had Cross Country. Cross Country was held at a Dorie Farm. Yr 5 ran 2K, Yr 6 Ran 2.5K and Yr 7&8 ran 3.5K. The kids that won went to Counties. Counties was yesterday (Tuesday) The Kids that won Counties which came 1st-6th is going to Christchurch.

Camp

On wednsay Rakaia school yr 5 and 6s went to Camp. In this photo there is Chloe, Taylah, Mollie-Kate, Holly and I. We came first in the concert. Rakaia school also had a camp fire with Chersty school. We roasted Marshmallows it was fun. I would came again to camp.

Mystery Skype

Mystery Skype is where we get a class from another country (Or NZ) and we have to guess where they are from and if we have enough time left we ask questions  and they ask us questions. Mystery Skype is on Monday or Thurdays but we haven't done is in ages. I liked mystery Skype because we got to see the other countrys.

Speeches

On Thursday Mahi Tahi had a speech day and the teachers had to choose two kids out of there groups to compete to win the speech tropy. Lockie Won the speech Tropy. Mrs Franklin was our judge. On Thursday the whole Mahi Tahi came to listen to the competers. Then we got sent for a run and when we came back we sat down and Mrs Franklin told us who the winner was.

               Why Bunnies are good pets

Hi My name is Maisie and I am here to tell you why Bunnies are good pets.

I will list the main reasons that I believe rabbits make excellent pets for children.

Firstly, You can learn a lot of facts about small animals. For example, A female rabbit is called a doe and a male rabbit is called a buck and a young rabbit is called a kit or kitten, A group of rabbits is known as a warren.

Rabbits have a lifespan of 10 years which means you can cuddle and love them for a long time. More than half of the world's rabbits live in North America. New Zealand has a lot of rabbits and they are very popular with children.

Bunnies are good pets because they are very quiet animals. They are herbivores so they can also eat  your veggies  that you  waste and also they can eat things that are just in your fridge everyday. They only need a cage to be looked after and need less space than other animals. Bunnies are really fluffy and soft animals. You can get MILLIONS of Bunny breeds.

Bunnies are  Fuzzier that kittens and you can cuddle them. Bunnies are really friendly with children and they are good jumpers. I Think you should get a bunnie because they are really nice friendly animals and they bond closely with their owners.

Bunnies are cute animals, They make a good first pet. Bunnies are caring animals. You can take Bunnies too

Bunnies are quiet animals and they make quite noises. I Think Bunnies are great pets! They are so adorable and cute. My favourite rabbit is called buttons. She is a cross between a mini-lop and a dutch rabbit. She is 1year and 9 months old, her favorite food is grass and hay. I also have 2 Flemish Giant rabbits, named Misty and Jonah- Lomu and they are about 6 months old. If you have a bunny you need to have a run for them because they can grow really big even if they're not Flemish Giants.

To conclude, my main reasons for having a rabbit are because they are cute pets that are easy to look after they also recycle your food waste and give children something to look after.
